Executive summary

A World Cup companion application featuring daily matches, venue maps, schedules, calendars, standings, teams, statistics, knockout visualization, detailed match pages, PWA support, and Android packaging.

Independent ownership

Independently conceived, roadmapped, designed, engineered, deployed as a web and PWA product, packaged for Android, and prepared for mobile-store review by Steven Sewell.

Product context

Tournament information spans fixtures, venues, groups, time zones, statistics, broadcasts, and knockout progression, making a coherent daily view difficult.

Product approach

A responsive tournament companion unifies match discovery, calendar navigation, maps, standings, statistics, and bracket context across web, installable PWA, and an Android wrapper.

Designing around a tournament calendar

Daily matches, month and week calendars, venue context, standings, broadcasts, statistics, and knockout progression were organized around a time-sensitive tournament journey. Shared time-zone handling keeps those views aligned as users move between days and stages.

Extending the web product to Android

The responsive web application also provides the installable PWA foundation and a Capacitor Android baseline. Packaging, manifests, icons, target SDK requirements, privacy documentation, and store preparation were part of the release work; completed Google Play publication is not claimed.
